Wednesday, April 15 — The Ferry Situation: Still Broken, Still Our Problem
Well, the ferry alerts are coming in like unwanted relatives at Thanksgiving — there's a lot of them and nobody's happy about it. Bundle up for a chilly 45 degrees and grab that coffee NOW because we've got a solid 13+ hours of daylight to pretend we're productive before golden hour hits at 7:21pm (conditions permitting, aka the island's favorite lie). If you need to forget about the ferry system entirely, there's grief support at 10am, ballet at 5:30pm, and volleyball at 7:30pm — or just head to happy hour and call it self-care.

Fixed a toilet that "wasn't even broken, just disrespectful." Played bass in the garage for 45 minutes — neighbors unsure if it was practice or a plumbing diagnosis. Mediated a fence dispute using only hand gestures and a level. Has lived on-island long enough to remember when the ferry was on time. Once.
